MOORESTOWN FRIENDS TO HOST JAN. 29 OPEN HOUSE

MOORESTOWN, NJ – Moorestown Friends School will host an Admissions Open House at 2 p.m. Sun., Jan. 29. The two-hour Open House program enables prospective students and their parents to visit the campus, meet with faculty members and listen to a student-faculty panel in the Moorestown Friends Meeting House.

This is the last scheduled weekend Open House for the 2005-2006 school year. Two additional Open Houses will be held at 9 a.m. Tues., Feb. 14 and at 9 a.m. Tues., April 4. The Tuesday Open Houses allow visitors to attend classes in session.

Moorestown Friends School, 110 E. Main St., is a coed independent Quaker day school founded in 1785 that serves three-year-olds through 12th grade. Its curriculum fosters intellectual curiosity, independence and ethical growth. The school, which has the highest SAT scores in South Jersey, offers an academically rigorous program balanced by strong offerings in athletics, the arts and community service.

Prospective students are encouraged to apply early in the year for admission during the 2006-2007 school year. The Open Houses also provide useful information for families planning ahead to apply to the school at some point in the future.

The school offers financial aid to qualified applicants. An Extended Day program serves the needs of working parents.
Transportation is provided from many area school districts.
