TWELVE JOIN WORLD LANGUAGE
HONOR SOCIETIES AT MOORESTOWN FRIENDS
MOORESTOWN,
NJ – Twelve
students have been selected
for world language honor
societies at Moorestown
Friends School.
Named
to the French Honor Society
were sophomores Kira Adams
of Willingboro, Emily Jones
of Mount Holly and Julie
Martin of Riverton and junior
Kyle Nocho of Voorhees.
Named
to the Spanish Honor Society
were sophomores Jennifer
Briones of Mount Laurel,
Shaina Karasin of Moorestown,
Richard Rinaldi of Shamong
and Kevin Schlagle of Maple
Shade and juniors Anthony
Cordisco of Moorestown,
Jackie Draper of Marlton,
Sarah Katz of Haddonfield
and Anni Weisband of Moorestown.
The
students will be inducted
in ceremonies May 9 at the
Moorestown Friends School
Meeting House. The societies
recognize superior achievement
in world languages at the
intermediate or advanced
level and superior academic
achievement in a student’s
total program. The organizations
are designed to promote
interest in the study of
French and Spanish language
and culture.
The
Société Honoraire
de Français
and the Sociedad Honoraria
Hispánica
are national organizations
with chapters throughout
the United States. Moorestown
Friends School has had chapters
since 1989.
Moorestown
Friends School begins formal
world language instruction
in fifth grade. Its world
languages program features
small classes and individualized
instruction, along with an
introduction to Latin. Classes
are supplemented by international
student exchanges and tours.
