TWELVE JOIN WORLD LANGUAGE HONOR SOCIETIES AT MOORESTOWN FRIENDS

MOORESTOWN, NJ – Twelve students have been selected for world language honor societies at Moorestown Friends School.

Named to the French Honor Society were sophomores Kira Adams of Willingboro, Emily Jones of Mount Holly and Julie Martin of Riverton and junior Kyle Nocho of Voorhees.

Named to the Spanish Honor Society were sophomores Jennifer Briones of Mount Laurel, Shaina Karasin of Moorestown, Richard Rinaldi of Shamong and Kevin Schlagle of Maple Shade and juniors Anthony Cordisco of Moorestown, Jackie Draper of Marlton, Sarah Katz of Haddonfield and Anni Weisband of Moorestown.

The students will be inducted in ceremonies May 9 at the Moorestown Friends School Meeting House. The societies recognize superior achievement in world languages at the intermediate or advanced level and superior academic achievement in a student’s total program. The organizations are designed to promote interest in the study of French and Spanish language and culture.

The Société Honoraire de Français and the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica are national organizations with chapters throughout the United States. Moorestown Friends School has had chapters since 1989.

Moorestown Friends School begins formal world language instruction in fifth grade. Its world languages program features small classes and individualized instruction, along with an introduction to Latin. Classes are supplemented by international student exchanges and tours.
