FOURTEEN STUDENTS INDUCTED INTO CUM LAUDE SOCIETY

Fourteen Moorestown Friends School (MFS) students were inducted into the Cum Laude Society, a national honor society for academically challenging independent schools, at a ceremony at MFS on May 13.

The inductees include seniors Emma Baiada, Robert Engel, Clara Fischer, Eric Maertin, Kathryn Schlechtweg, Arianne Taormina and Tej Trivedi. Juniors selected for the honor are Peter Barna, Alleanna Harris, Isaias Muñoz, Samantha Saludades, Darshak Thosani, Brian White and David White.

Named to the Cum Laude Society last year were current seniors Alison Barton, Alissa Beckett, Monica Chelius, Phillip Dorsey, Keyanah Freeland, Jacob Montgomery and Heather Moore.

Students are selected for membership based on their cumulative record of academic excellence in all subject areas. No more than 20 percent of a school’s senior class may be selected, with no more than 10 percent chosen during their junior year. Moorestown Friends School received its Cum Laude charter in 1962.
